The Chelmsford Takeover 2025 returned to Chelmsford on Saturday 12 April 2025 for its third and BIGGEST year so far!
The event saw Chelmsford For You and Essex Cosplayers bring the city centre to life a whole host of familiar heroes, characters and show cars from the BIG screen, TV and Comics across multiple locations.
A HUGE thank you to the thousands of you who assembled, our wonderful cosplayers, content providers, show cars, traders and fabulous volunteers who helped make the day a success, you’re all heroes!
Once again, the Chelmsford Takeover was raising funds for the real heroes over at Little Havens, an Essex based hospice who provide vital care and support for children and young people up to the age of 18 who have been diagnosed with a complex or incurable condition, whilst offering support to their families. Did you know, Little Havens need to raise a staggering £83,000 each week to provide their much-needed services.
We have been blown away by the support and generosity of the public at the Chelmsford Takeover 2025 with an incredible number of donations being received. The Little Havens team are busy counting up all of this year’s donations and we’ll be revealing the total shortly.
While we have you, we are thrilled to announce the Chelmsford Takeover is set to return in April 2026, stay tuned for the official date.
