GETTING TO AND AROUND CHELMSFORD WITH FIRST BUS

First operates a network of over 70 bus services linking towns and villages across the region, meaning there is always a bus ready to take you where you need to go.

The central hub for buses in Chelmsford is the station located in the city centre - Duke Street, Chelmsford CM1 1GZ – located next to the train station.

  • Shuttles: Operating within the urban networks of Chelmsford, Basildon and Colchester, these high-frequency buses provide quick and easy links between town and city centres and the busiest suburbs.

  • Essex Bus: Connecting major cities, towns, and villages across Essex, these services offer convenient travel options for work, education, and leisure.

  • Essex Airlink: Provides direct and convenient journeys to London Stansted Airport, with daily services from early morning to late at night.

Need to get to the airport?
