SHEPARD FAIREY

Shepard Fairey is an influential American contemporary street artist, graphic designer, and activist who emerged from the skateboarding scene. He gained fame via his 1989 "Andre the Giant Has a Posse" (OBEY) sticker campaign and achieved global recognition for his 2008 Barack Obama "Hope" poster. His work, often using stencil and screen printing, combines commercial art, skateboarding culture, and political activism, with a focus on questioning authority through public space, print, and murals.
